Re: ONE YEAR LATER - AM STILL IN THE GHETTO
by George
Just to let you know. I'm the culprit that started this.....by calling CQ on 3737--a frequency I picked that night entirely at random. And I'm not a regular in the 75mtr ghetto either. Mostly on 40m. Really think that using this particular post to make your argument is a stretch. And the attributions don't help. I didn't hear any of the inappropriate behavior that you mention as typical of the ghetto (which in all fairness I have heard there on occasion). Wouldn't have tolerated it if I had. I seem to recall these type of running round tables being nothing new--recall eavesdropping on many just like them as a pre-teen SWL....back when AM was king. Was fun and easy on my trusty S-40B. Enjoy your webpage--especially the pic of the old buzzards.....many of whom would have been in hanging around in these types of qso's themselves way back when. Otherwise, keep up the good work! Best 73's Geo W8VG continuing to call CQ below the Ghetto HI HI.
