This week we go back about 50 years to around 1957, when a well known ham radio operator from Western New York was visiting the ham shack of K2JVM in Buffalo. 

In this rare photo, W2OY (Mike) sitting on the left, is seen with W8OBJ (Jim), in front of the very popular HQ-129X receiver.  W2OY was not only well known in this country, but his reputation extended beyond the borders of the United States.  Even today, fifty years later, you will still hear amateurs on and off the air talking about Mike Premus, W2OY.
