In an effort to clear up any confusion and to dispel vicious rumors which have been monitored by the home office, the Buffalo Kilowatt Bookends 2005 - 2006 radio season officially ended on May 7 of this year.

Apparently some our our friends in amateur radio have been hearing misleading reports that The Bookends were no longer in operation as a team.  For the record, the Buffalo Kilowatt Bookends are still very much around and will return for another season of radio fun this fall.

Each year when spring arrives, The Bookends, like most normal people, spend their free time enjoying many of the outdoor activities available at this time of the year.  It is hard to imagine that anyone in their right mind would want to be confined to the basement, or a small room without windows, sitting in front of a radio (or in some cases a computer and a radio) talking to the same people... morning, noon, and night,  each and every day.  It's almost like having a job!  You might even say that they are obsessed with their hobby, and perhaps need psychological help.

If your not sure what we mean, tune your radio receiver to 3818 kHz, 3825 kHz, (both ssb mode), and 3880 kHz (AM mode) any morning, afternoon, or evening.  Same people, same story, same frequency, different day.

The Buffalo Kilowatt Bookends would like to wish all of our friends in amateur radio a wonderful summer, and we look forward to seeing you in autumn.
